Public Speaking

My degree in acting from Emerson College, and my years of stand-up comedy experience, give me a comfort level talking in front of people that not everyone has.

Because of this distinction, which sets me apart from some people who have similar degrees of knowledge and experience, but are less confident in their speaking abilities, I am occasionally asked to appear on television or at public events. I love these opportunities I get to be part of conversations on the issues of the day, and to interact with curious and intelligent moderators, fellow panelists, and audiences. I always come away richer for my participation.

Topics I can address:

  • gender

  • women's history

  • American history

  • #metoo

  • Unitarian-Universalism

  • parenthood

  • single motherhood

  • raising teenagers

  • divorce

  • co-parenting

  • feminism
